Beautiful early traditional Norwegian Solje Brooch

Taken from Google -

A Solje brooch is a traditional Norwegian silver heirloom that means "shiny" or "sunny" and holds symbolic meaning related to protection, good fortune, and identity. Historically, it was believed to ward off evil spirits with its reflective, gold-plated silver spoons and was passed down through generations as a treasured family item. Today, it remains a symbol of Norwegian heritage and is often worn for special occasions like weddings and national holidays.

This example of a Solje Brooch is in a  830 Sterling Silver and has gold washed discs that are used to repel trolls and evil spirits with silver filigree attachments and gold washed tears

I would say this is antique from the shape of the clasp and pin. The pin is rounded as shown so can be worn with thick material.
